Hatha Yoga
Narendra Rathore, my Hatha
Yoga instructor.
Hatha Yoga develops strength, endurance, flexibility, structural alignment, tones muscles, stimulates internal organs, improves circulation and calms the central nervous system, thus restoring the mind to a naturally peaceful state of being.
Class description: Classical Hatha Yoga practice incorporating breathing exercises, stretching, warmup exercises, classical poses, and modification of poses for lesser ability.
The classes are progressive, providing a basic yoga routine including new poses and variations on poses already learned.
Relaxation is integral to the practice, class begins with relaxation, we relax between exercises, and we end with a final deep relaxation.
Specific explanations are given of the physical and mental benefits of the poses.
Classes are designed so that all can participate at the present level of comfort and ability.
Unlike other forms of exercise which can strain the muscles and joints, Hatha Yoga gently rejuvenates the body and liberates the mind from many of the negative emotions imposed on us by the stresses of modern day life.
